WHY YOU MAD??? FIX YA FACE!!! GRAMMY, BBNAIJA...

Image
Lol!! Be warned!!! A healthy dose of goofiness is served! So people are still buzzing with the gist of Bruno Mars, and his Grammy take-over, Kendrick Lamar following closely after... Lemmi give you the gist you probably didn't see (*winks*)... So Bruno Mars was scolded like i would scold one of my kids... in public o, during the awards cermony! In the Grammy hall (Madison Square Garden)! Apparently he was being rowdy, and had to be chastised by Grammy producer - Ken Ehrlich...lol! Forgive me, today, i am a practicing 'agbaya'...feeling very tickled! Someone that also felt really tickled, was DJ Khaled, who gave Riri a 10-second bear hug when the cameras were not on them...he was visibly moved by the accomplishment. Rapper Logic defended the countries Donald Trump referred to as Shitholes, and recieved an instant standing ovation! His speech While on social media platforms, #BBNaija is #trending with memes that have just cracked me up so bad!!! ...

FAT GIRLS CANT HAVE SHORT HAIR?

Image
Hmm... So i have been told before, with varying degrees of tact! "You know you have a round face...","a small head...", "a square head...", "your cheeks will be more pronounced..." etc. Do you also think fat girls cant have short hair? (what should fat guys do? lol) Pic source: Google Well i'll tell you one thing. No one can dictate to you what your style should be. In my opinion, my style represents where i am at that point in my life/journey. If i feel like expressing myself with a short hairstyle, then short it is. If it hurts your eyes, then avert them...do not look, please don't hurt yourself! Having said that, there are styles that flatter you more than others... that much is true. Most of the time, you find what works for you by experimenting. If you don't try, how would you know? I carry out a lot of such experiments on my hair... Someone sent me a picture we took and it took me down memory lane...not so far...

Human Hair Sources - Let's Go Deep!

Image
This is a touchy subject for some... There are two major sources for human hair...100% human hair, not horse tail, synthetic, grave yard or chop shop hair (my own coinage for hair picked off floors of salons), and hair gathered from questionable sources like goats/sheep, etc.  I hope you are not surprised, because this is indeed a THING. Before starting my hair business, i had no idea that these funny hair sources existed! I mean talk about GRAVE YARD! floors of salons!! goats/sheep!!! HA!!! At least i knew about horse (tail) hair. I had no idea that people gather such hair and treat them with all sorts of chemicals to manipulate the texture...They become the human hair that people spend a small fortune on! In some cases, only time can tell the truth about those hair stories. Even though i have heard people having mild to severe adverse reactions immediately after installation. So the major sources are India and China. There are other sources, but they don't churn ...

Styling and Maintaining Salon Gorgeous Hair At Home Pt.1

Image
In this new year, versatility is key in my hair game. Realistically, we carry our installed weaves for two to three weeks, sometimes four right? ( in the right conditions though...we don't want to repel people...you understand!) However, if you invest in having some quality hair and tools, you do not have to visit the saloon within the time frame, nor do you have to look the same for the two to three or four weeks that your weave is in for. LePluSH! Kinky 6" Heres what i mean... I had my 100% Human Hair by LePluSH! Kinky, 6'' installed. Because i had installed it previously, i had it washed and colored, i did not want the same look... and i am a fan of big hair. I also love me some flicked out curls. Upon installation, i asked that the hair be curled with a curling tong. At this point, am pretty sure people where wondering what on earth i was hoping to achieve...  I wanted short flicked out curls framing my head.  The style was achi...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Image
Its a new year!!! I am sooo excited for this year, thankful for the past year too. 2017 taught a lot of lessons, came with loads of change, joys, blessings, challenges, pains, growth, etc.   I learnt so many painful lessons on the transient nature of life.   You hear about people passing, but you do not really understand the pain associated, until it happens to you.   I lost dear ones this past year, but our race still continues...life really does go on, painful as it may be.   I laughed a lot, hurt a lot, cried a little (i am not really a crying person these days).  Thought a lot, made plenty of mistakes, set plans into motion,  most importantly, i gave a lot of thought into coming into my own and being true to myself.   Coming into my own is an ongoing process, which led me to new year and daily resolutions.  Do you believe in resolutions? I feel its always good to make resolutions, as he who fails to ...
